Having worked with a great number of families, Samya understands the importance of assessing the unique needs of every household. She also understands the absolute necessity of having solace at home; That is how Solace with Samya was born!

After 15 years of working in a range of childcare roles, beginning with nursery nursing alongside gaining her CACHE diploma, then going on to fill nanny and governess roles of varying types and eventually moving into Behaviour Consults, Sleep Training and Maternity Nursing (level 4 OCN MNT), Samya quickly noticed how these roles were connected and found a recurring need in families that was not being met- a custom assessment of needs.

What is a custom assessment of needs?

Booking childcare can be daunting- especially for first time parents or those who’ve had traumatic experiences with childcare in the past. Its difficult enough to allow someone else to look after the one thing you value most in the world, but it can also be impossible to understand how, when, where and what you need.

Its fabulous if you are in a position to hire whatever help you need and you’re clear on all the services available- for example, you need some sleep but baby isn't in a routine yet, so you hire a Night nanny for relief and/or a sleep trainer to get a routine in place. Or if you need a little support when you first get home with baby, so you hire a Maternity nurse for the first few weeks. But what if you have a restrictive budget? Or something more complex, like if you’re parents of a toddler who has developmental needs and your lifestyle means you have to move around a lot and mum had a difficult pregnancy, so needs some rest but your toddler is very attached to mum so you don't know whether to hire a nanny who can move with you and provide consistency for both children long-term, or whether to hire rota Maternity nurses because you’re quite nervous about keeping an eye on the newborn or do you hire someone experienced with special needs but then again maybe there are some attachment issues that need to be addressed too.. and so on go the questions. There are many scenarios in which deciding what sort of childcare you need is overwhelming, confusing and by the end of it, exhausting. That’s where Solace with Samya comes in.

Samya offers a unique consultation service in which she will assess your individual situation, consider all factors involved and let you know your best childcare options. Having provided a lot of these services herself, Samya has first hand understanding of what different services deliver and what professionals expect from families as well as vice versa. Samya understands the importance of a smooth running household and has many a time found herself being booked for one service only to arrive to the family and realise they would benefit far more from a different service- or even a combination. In this way, she has helped a great number of exhausted parents find a space for peace and solace in their homes. Samya will work with you to establish what your main needs are and how best to meet them.
